First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash with water
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Consult a doctor

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water mist, carbon dioxide, foam and dry powder may be used
to extinguish fires. Combustion products are likely to be
carbon, nitrogen and sulphur oxides together with small
quantities of hydrogen fluoride.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Solid: Mix with wetted inert material before
sweeping-up. Dispose of at a controlled waste site or
incinerate. Solution: Collect using absorbent material and
dispose of by incineration

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid dust formation. If dust is formed take precautions to
avoid inhalation of the material. Avoid skin contact and
wear skin and eye protection.

Storage: No special precautions.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Avoid dust inhalation as compounds of this type have been
known to cause respiratory sensitisation. No reaction with
water and no other dangers known.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: After use, recovery of the dyestuff is impractical as the
substance undergoes an irreversible modification.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled waste site is possible for
quantities accidentally spilt.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: During incineration small quantities of hydrogen fluoride
may be evolved.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not readily biodegradable. The substance
will be eliminated by precipitation or absorption on
sludge.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance cannot be recovered after application to the
textile.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Controlled discharge. No restrictions

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: No restrictions.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance will not dissolve in water after applications
to the textile.
