Serum cholinesterase activity was significantly decreased in rats of both sexes following oral administration. Serum cholinesterase activity was unaffected following dermal administration. Brain cholinesterase activity was unaffected by either oral or dermal administration. There were no clinical signs associated with this decrease.

Overall, the observed decrease in serum cholinesterase activity is not considered to be toxicologically relevant.(TGD; Pesticide Residues in Food. Report of the Joint Meeting of the FAO Panel of Experts on Pesticide Residues in Food and the Environment and the WHO Core Assessment Group (WHO, 1998)).Based on this, it is concluded that the decrease in plasma cholinesterase activity is not toxicologically significant and that the test substance is not acutely toxic.(EU RAR V6, 2008)
