Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Growth in an alga culture, as measured by biomass and growth rate, exposed to a 1000 mg/L water accommodated fraction of hydrocarbons, C11-C14, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, <2% aromatics, was not inhibited when compared to the control after a 72-hour exposure. Therefore, the 72-hr EL50 and NOELR values for these two endpoints are reported as >1000 mg/L and 1000 mg/L, respectively. The data from this study are used as read-across data to hydrocarbons, C12-C16, isoalkanes, cyclics, <2% aromatics.
