Additional information

2 in-vitro tests have shown that 2-bromoisobutyryl bromide induced mutation in salmonella tymphimurium and chromosomal aberrations in cultured human peripheral blood lymphocytes. An in-vivo test has confirmed that 2-bromoisobutyryl bromide induced micronuclei in the bone marrow of treated mice.

Short description of key information:
2-bromoisobutyryl bromide has to be considered as mutagen since 3 experimental studies carried on the topic conclude in the presence of this risk..

Endpoint Conclusion: Adverse effect observed (positive)
