Validation

The linearity of the detector response with respect to concentration was assessed over the nominal concentration ranges of 0 to 1000 mg/l for the 2-ethylhexyl dihydrogen phosphate and 0 to 50 mg/l for the bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen phosphate and was satisfactory with correlation coefficients of 0.999 and 1.000 respectively.

Validation of the sample procedure was performed by comparison of filtered and unfiltered samples at concentrations of 100 mg/l for the 2-ethylhexyl dihydrogen phosphate and 5 mg/l for the bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen phosphate. This was acceptable with a mean percentage of determined analyte being 92.3% for the 2-ethylhexyl dihydrogen phosphate and 110% for the bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen phosphate.
