Short-term tests with species from three trophic levels are available. Daphnia magna turned out to be the most sensitive species revealing an EC50 (48 h) of 69 mg/L. No short-term effects of the substance towards fish and algae were found in concentrations up to 100 mg/L providing an EC50 (72 h) of > 100 mg/L and a EC50 (96 h) > 100 mg/L, respectively. In a respiration test with microorganisms in activated sewage sludge an EC50 (3 h) of > 1000 mg/L and a NOEC (3 h) of 1000 mg/L were determined. Based on the study results, the test substance is acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates. No effects of the test substance towards fish, algae and microorganisms in activated sewage sludge were observed.
