Description of key information

None of the Rosin ester substances are considered to be flammable, flammable on contact with water or pyrophoric.

Resin acids and rosin acids, polymerized, esters with pentaerythritol is determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary

screening test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP-compliant study, conducted according to EU Method A.10 (flammability (solids)), was provided for Resin acids and Rosin acids, polymerized, esters with pentaerythritol (Harlan Laboratories Ltd., 2012a).

Justification for classification or non-classification

The available data indicates that Resin acids and rosin acids, esters with triethylene glycol are not classified as flammable.
