Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The Substance displays a low ready biodegradability in an OECD closed bottle test. Given the insolubility in water, it was not possible to assess effects of hydrolysis on the substance. Studies on direct phototransformation in water are not available but it is assumed on the basis of chemical structure and nature of use that the substance is not degraded by direct photolysis. In conclusion, the Substance is considered as vP (and P). The Substance has a measured log Pow of 4.3, indicating a potential concern for bioaccumulation. However, a bioaccumulation study performed in carp produced BCF at high exposure level (0.1 ppm) of 15 – 58 and at low level exposure (0.01 ppm) of 61 – 124 indicating that the Substance is not bio-accumulative. In conclusion, the substance is not expected to accumulate significantly in aquatic organisms. The test substance neither fulfils the B nor the vB criterion. The substance is not T.  In conclusion, the substance is not PBT/vPvB.
