Description of key information

Melting range = 117.5-127.0 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
117.5 °C

Additional information

Two valid GLP studies, conducted according to different, but both recognized methods, were provided.

The change of state occurs within a 10°C-interval, which can be explained by the multi-constituents nature of the substance.

Both methods give consistent results for the melting range; however, the DSC method was conducted for the b.p. measurement, and no precise determination of the melting temperature was done. Therefore, the capillary method was judged more accurate, and considered as the only key study.
