Description of key information

Under the conditions of the study of Fuerstenau,M.C., B.M. Wakawa, R.K. Price, and R.D. Wellik,1973, Potassium ethyl xanthate induced no mortality in Oncorhynchus mykiss (Rainbow Trout) below 3 mg/l (NOEC). One of the 96h-LC50 was between 15 and 17mg/l .
The ECOSAR QSAR model predicts that the 96hr LC50 for marine water fish (SW) would to be 1416.171 mg/l therefore that the substance is effectively not toxic to fishes.
