Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.
Pyrophoric liquids
Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air
Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.

Any other information on results incl. tables

Observations: The sample melted with decomposition to a dark orange/black liquid during contact with ignition source. The melted sample supported local combustion displaying a pale yellow/blue flame, however no propagation along the sample train was observed.

From the findings of the preliminary test where a rate of burning over 200 mm could not be estabished it was deemed unnecessary to perform the main test.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The test material was found not to be a readily combustible substance.
Executive summary:

The flammability of the test material was investigated in a study which was conducted under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standadrised guideline UN Test N.1.

The test material failed to propagate combustion after two minutes of exposure to an air rich flame during the preliminary screening test. The test material was therefore determined not to be readily combustible.
