Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Since no acute test data for the multi-constituent substance on aquatic invertebrates are available, the assessment based on test results of the two components.

In a non-GLP study performed with the minor component (CAS 6674-22-2) a nominal EC50 (48 h)of 50 mg/L for Daphnia magna was measured [BASF 1991). In a GLP study carried out with the major component (CAS 24566-95-8) an EC50 (48 h) > 100 mg/L (measured) was determined [BASF 1998]. Both studies followed the procedures of EC Directive 79/831/EEC, Annex V, Part C.

Based on these results the multi-constituent substance is assesed as harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
