Specific details on test material used for the study:
- Name of test material: Fatty acids, C16-18, reaction products with tetraethylenepentamine, acetates (salts)
Key result
Water solubility:
< 0.15 mg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 5.12 - ca. 5.85

A preliminary test using a simplified flask method with abbreviated equilibration times was performed to evaluate the magnitude of the water solubility of the test item. As the water solubility was determined to be below the smallest calibration point with < 2.6 mg/L, the column elution method was used in the main test.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
The water solubility of C1618FA-TEPA-compound is <0.15 mg/L at 20°C.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of C1618FA-TEPA-compound was determined according to OECD Guideline 105 (27 July 1995) and EU method A.6 (30 May 2008) using the column elution method. The sample measurement was performed by HPLC. The test item was below the detection limit of 0.15 mg/L. Thus, the water solubility of C1618FA-TEPA-compound is <0.15 mg/L at 20°C.

Description of key information

The water solubility of C1618FA-TEPA-compound is <0.15 mg/L at 20°C (OECD Guideline 105/EU method A.6; column elution method).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.15 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
