Thermal Sensitivity- None of the tests resulted in an explosion or vigorous reaction. None of the tubes showed a deformation or had burst into fragments. The test substance was not explosive when exposed to thermal stress.

Mechanical Sensitivity by shock- A 10 kg mass was dropped from 0.4 meter height on the test substance. In none of the 6 tests this resulted in visual changes in test substance consistency. No (traces of) vigorous reactions were observed. From this it was concluded that the test substance does not react under mechanical strees by shock. The test substance was not explosive when exposed to mechanical stress by shock.

The explosive property test was performed in accordance with EEC Method A.14 to determine whether the test item presents a danger of explosion when submitted to the effect of a flame (thermal sensitivity), or to shock (mechanical sensitivity). None of the tests resulted in an explosion or vigorous reaction in the thermal sensitivity test. None of the tubes showed a deforomation or had burst into fragments. In the mechanical sensitivity test by shock, no (traces of) vigorous reactions were observed after droppingn a 10 kg mass from 0.4 meter height on the substance. It was concluded that the substance is not explosive when exposed to thermal stress nor mechanical stress by shock.
