Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

pH 4 t1/2 > 1 year
pH 7 t1/2 = 316 days
pH 9 t1/2 = 155 days

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
316 d
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

At pH 4 less than 10 % of the reaction is observed after 5 days at 50 °C (t½> 1 year at 25 °C). Thus the test substance may be considered hydrolytically stable at a pH of 4 and according to the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 no additional testing is required.

At pH 7 the half-life period was determined by extrapolation of the results of the experiments at 50 °C, 60 °C and 70 °C to a temperature of 25 °C. It was found to be 316 days.

At pH 9 the half-life period was determined by extrapolation of the results of the experiments at 50 °C, 60 °C and 70 °C to a temperature of 25 °C. It was found to be 155 days.

No major hydrolysis products (10 % of the applied dose) were identified in the HPLC chromatograms of tier 2. Therefore Tier 3 is not necessary.
