Description of key information

In the acute immobilisation test with Daphnia magna (STRAUS), the effects of the saturated solution with a nominal loading of 250 mg/Lof the test item Diol 2 were determined according to OECD 202 (2004). The limit test was conducted under static conditions over a period of 48 hours.
No analytical monitoring was performed during the test period in agreement with the sponsor, as the solubility of the test item in water turned out to be lower than the limit of quantification of the analytical system of 5 µg test item/L. Exposures are expressed in terms of the original concentration of the test item Diol 2in dilution water at the start of the mixing period (loading rate).
In the saturated solution with a nominal loading of 250 mg/L of the test item Diol 2, no effects were observed on Daphnia magna
