Description of key information

This end point has been waived on the basis that a negative result is expected against the recommended test method (Method N.4 of the UN Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, fourth revised edition, 2003 - Tremain 2010). This would only give a positive result if the substance self ignited at a temperature below 400°C. TGA analysis of the solid material shows that the substance melts and then degrades at around 290°C. There is no evidence on the TGA trace that the material ignites at a temperature of <550°C. As with all organic carbon substances, the substance burns once the temperature reaches ~600°C
