Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to a Mackay Level I model calculation, the main target compartments for Cyclohexane, 5-isocyanato-1-(isocyanatomethyl)-1,3,3-trimethyl-, homopolymer, acetone oxime-blocked will be sediment (48.6 %) and soil (48.1 %). The calculated Henry’s Law constant of 1.7E-9 Pa m³/mol at 20 °C indicates very low volatility of Cyclohexane, 5-isocyanato-1-(isocyanatomethyl)-1,3,3-trimethyl-, homopolymer, acetone oxime-blocked from surface waters. With anadsorption coefficient (Koc) of log Koc = 4.4 for soil and log Koc = 4.5 for sewage sludgedetermined with the HPLC methodthe sorption potential to soil or sediment organic matter is expected to be very high (Blume scale).

The QSAR calculated rate constant for the OH sensitized photodegradation of Cyclohexane, 5-isocyanato-1-(isocyanatomethyl)-1,3,3-trimethyl-, homopolymer, acetone oxime-blocked (surrogate: blocked trimer) is approximately 106.4952 E-12 cm3/(molecule * s). At 500,000 OH radicals / cm3 (typical for central Europe), this corresponds to a half-life of 3.6 hours. For hydrolysis a half-life of 666 hours (27.75 days) at 20 °C and pH 7 was measured. Ready biodegradation could not be observed. Bioaccumulation is not expected because due to the low mobility hydrolysis is assumed to be faster than absorption.
