Additional information

Data exists indicating that bioconcentration potential in fish is low.  Therefore, it can be concluded that Alcohols, C7-9-iso, C8-rich does not pose a risk towards top predators as it is not expected to bioaccumulate through the food chain.

Conclusion on classification

Alcohols, C7-9-iso, C8 -rich is classified for the environment as chronic category 3, based on NOEC values ranging from > 0.1 to <= 1 mg/L. It demonstrates acute aquatic toxicity in the range of 1 to 10 mg/L, is readily biodegradable and has a BCF less than 100.
