Method

Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) according to the OECD Test Guidelines 102 and 103.

Results

It is observed a loss of imbibition water between 39 - 168 °C (onset at 47.2 °C, enthalpy = - 159.1 J/g), followed by an exothermic event between 304 and 422 °C (onset at 357.6 °C, enthalpy = 475.4 J/g).

Conclusion

The test item is a solid which decomposes before melting at temperature above 304 °C.
