First-aid measures

- general advice: take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
- Following inhalation: remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention.
- Following skin contact: Rinse skin immediately with water and soap. Get medical advice/attention.
- Following eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Get medical advice/attention.
- Following ingestion: rinse mouth. Get medical advice/attention.
- Most important symptoms and effects: not known.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: foam, carbon dioxide, powder, spray (water)
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: water jet
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: in case of fires, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide can be formed. Formation of traces of other toxic gases cannot be excluded in case of fire.
- Advice for fire fighter: Special protective measures and equipment for fire-fighters: do not inhale explosion or incendiary gas; wear breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions: Particular danger of slipping on leaked/spilled product.
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear protective equipment. Avoid formation of dust.
- Environmental precautions: Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course. Do not allow to enter the ground/soil.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Pick up mechanically. Dispose of the material collected according to regulations.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling: Store in a well-ventilated place. Avoid formation and sedimentation of dust. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Do not breathe dust/fume/aerosols. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep away from sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Dust may form explosive mixture with air. Use water to cool receptacles in danger. Keep only in the original container. Keep the container tightly closed and in a cool, well-ventilated place. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Store t < 30 °C. Do not store together with oxidizing agents. Storage class 11.

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Hand protection: the protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of the EC directive 89/686/ EEC and the resultant standard EN 374. Specific conditions must be considered. Glove material: butyl rubber. Penetration time: 60 min. Glove thickness: 0.7 mm.
2.. Body protection: protective clothing.
3. Eye protection: protective glasses.
4. Respiratory protection: at development of dust/fume: filter device for short term use: Filter P2

Stability and reactivity

1. Reactivity: see “possibility of hazardous reactions”
2. Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions.
3. Possibility of hazardous reactions: risk of polymerisation.
4. Conditions to avoid: open flames, sparks, heat and direct sunlight.
5. Incompatible materials: oxidizing agents.
6. Hazardous decomposition products: in the presence of radical formers (e.g. peroxides), reducing substances and/or heavy metal ions, polymerisation takes place under heat generation.

Disposal considerations

Dispose of product according to the applicable local regulations (e.g. in a hazardous waste incinerator). When unclean empty containers are passed on, the recipient must be warned of any possible hazard that may be caused by residues.
