A vapour pressure value of 47.8 hPa at 20°C is reported in a collection of reliable data which has been subject to peer review and in which the original data sources are traceable (DIPPR). This result has been chosen as the key study. It is supported by a predicted vapour pressure of 47.6 hPa at 20°C, obtained using an appropriate QSAR. Another reliable handbook gives a slightly lower value of 45.3 hPa at 25°C. Two secondary sources, to which reliability could not be assigned, gave slightly higher vapour pressures of 56 and 57 hPa at 20°C. Variations in the vapour pressure values may be caused by variations in purity of the test substance and in the test method used. All values are of the same order of magnitude and consistent with the substance being volatile.

The substance hydrolyses rapidly in contact with water, therefore, the vapour pressure of its silanol hydrolysis product is also relevant. A vapour pressure of 0.02 Pa at 20°C has been calculated using the same QSAR method used for the parent substance.
