Description of key information

The test substance shows no boiling in the temperature range of 25° to 400°C, only an exothermic decomposition beginning at 140°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A study was conducted according to EU test guidance 92/69/EEC part A2 in compliance with GLP and reported with GLP certificate.

The determination of the boiling point by DSC, Mettler-Toledo TA8000, was carried out in closed glass pan and covered aluminium pan. The measurement in a closed glass pan does not show any endothermic effect prior a decomposition of the test substance in the range 140-350 °C, with a decomposition energy of 370 J/g. In an aluminium pan the diagram shows a broad endothermal effect in the range 145-230 °C, which can be explained by drying of the test substance. At about 240 °C an exothermal decomposition was observed in the range 240-340 °C, with a decomposition energy of 115 J/g.

The test substance shows no boiling in the temperature range of 25° to 400°C, only an exothermic decomposition beginning at 140°C.
