Description of key information
A test (Harlan, Partition Coefficient, 2012a) where the test substance in water saturated n-octanol (1.0 g/L) was shaken with an equal amount
of n-octanol saturated water, showed easy emulsifying. After 30 minutes the upper layer appeared as an off-white translucent liquid and the lower layer as a milky translucent liquid with a small amount of emulsion. It was concluded that the test substance may be surface active thus not suitable for testing (shake flask or HPLC).
On a representative constituent a calculation was performed with KOWWIN 1.67 leading to a log Pow of 11.

The value indicated above is of limited quality. No experimental quantification of the log Pow could be made. A log Pow of 11, as calculated with the KOWWIN 1.67 program will be used in risk assessment.
