Fire hazards: The substance emits acid and toxic gases under fire conditions.
Accidental release measures
Environmental control: The substance is insoluble in water and floats on water. Isolate the pollutes area.
Clean-up method: Separate and remove the product from water.

Breakthrough time (EN 374):
- Heptane: >30 minutes
- Sodium Hydroxide 50%: >480 minutes
- Sulphuric acid 96%: >30 minutes
Eye protection: Use safety goggles.
Other protection: Use suitable protective clothing.
Avoid contamination of working area.
No eating, drinking or smoking in working area.
Stability and reactivity
When heated to decomposition, material emits irritating and toxic fumes.
