Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

20 °C

Additional information

A static viscosity value of 0.98 mm2/s at 20°C was determined in a reliable study, conducted according to an appropriate national test protocol (DIN 53015). The result is considered as reliable and has been assigned as key study.

The viscosity (static) for the MS-Silane constituents has been calculated using a validated QSAR. The viscosity values range from 0.26 to 0.400696 mPa*s at 20°C . The viscosity of dichloro(dimethyl)silane is 0.37847 mPa*s (0.35438 mm2/s), for dichloro(methyl)silane it is 0.40069 6 mPa*s (0.36042 mm2/s), for silicon tetrachloride it is 0.35 mm2/s and for chlorotrimethylsilane it is 0.26 mPa*s (0.30 mm2/s).
