Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on structural formulas approach and DSC analysis, the product is considered as non explosive

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The aim of the study is to collect data on the product in order to determine if an experimental study relative to explosive properties (UN test series 1 to 3, further test series 4 to 6 for classification) is required. The criteria of classification and labelling used in this statement are in agreement with Directive 1999/45/EC and with Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 (CLP).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on most recent approach of structural formulas, the product is not expected to have explosive properties. In addition, the Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) graphs of the product show an exothermic effect with an energy lower than 500 J/g, what confirms that the product isn’t likely to be explosive. Accordingly, the product is not expected to present a significant hazard for explosivity. So the product is considered non explosive
