Description of key information
Two studies conducted to EEC method A8 have yielded slightly different estimated values for log10 Pow.

An experimentally determined value from an EEC A8 method that gave good correlation between determined and published values for a reference substance is selected as the Key study value, i.e. log Pow = 0.16. The supporting study used an HPLC capacity method comparing test substance with a range of reference substances and derived an estimate by linear regression. This gave a relatively high value of log Pow1.2 (10-fold higher Pow).
The supporting study report records a KOWWIN estimate using an earlier version (v1.35a). This value of 0.15 is very close to the Key Study experimental value.
