Description of key information

The substance N-Bromosuccinimide was found to be not flammable. A screening test according to the Test method N.1: Part III, sub-section 33.2.1, of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, 5th Edition, 2009 was conducted. The test was negative as melting / slow propagation of the decomposition front was observed and the burning time was > 2 min for 200 mm.

Therefore N-Bromosuccinimide is not a readily combustible solid of Division 4.1. and according to the CLP-regulation, N-Bromosuccinimide is not a flammable solid.
