Description of key information

The substance has no oxidising properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Ammonium sulphate, sodium sulphate and potassium sulfate are incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of their chemical structures. Therefore, the reaction mass is considered to be a non oxidising solid.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) of substances and mixtures the substance is not considered to be an oxidising solid, because based on the chemical structures of its constituents the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials.
