Remarks on result:
other: Mean of two assays corrected for atmospheric pressure.

Boiling point of the test item in assay 1: 222.5 °C; corrected to 225.0 °C

Boiling point of the test item in assay 2: 222.6 °C; corrected to 225.1 °C

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the study, the mean corrected boiling point of the test material was 225.1 °C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to asses the boiling point of the test material in accordance to OECD 103 and EU method A.2 under GLP conditions.

Two experiments were conducted through Differential Scanning Calorimetry. An aliquot of test material was placed into a crucible. The lid was fitted and the crucible was placed in the DSC analyzer. The boiling point was calculated automatically by the Setsoft program by integration of the curves obtained: "Heat flow as a function of the temperature". The boiling point analysis was conducted at 95.2 kPa and the values obtained were statistically corrected to give a mean value for 101.325 kPa. The test were valid as the results obtained for the standard used conformed to the expected value. Under the conditions of the study, the mean corrected boiling point of the test material was 225.1 °C.

Description of key information

Under the conditions of the study, the mean corrected boiling point of the test material was 225.1 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
225.1 °C

Additional information

A study was conducted to asses the boiling point of the test material in accordance to OECD 102 and 103, EU method 102 and 103, under GLP conditions. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).
