Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid having a melting point <= 160°C

Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006: Annex VII section 7.12 the test item clearly had a melting point < 160 °C and was entirely molten above 36 °C. Substances which are entirely molten < 160 °C should not be considered for classification in this class since the melting process is endothermic and the substance-air surface is drastically reduced.

Description of key information

Relative self-ignition temperature for solids: not applicable. Substance melting point < 160 °C and was entirely molten above 36 °C. Substances which are entirely molten < 160 °C should not be considered for classification in this class since the melting process is endothermic and the substance-air surface is drastically reduced, 2022

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006: Annex VII section 7.12 the test item clearly had a melting point < 160 °C and was entirely molten above 36 °C. Substances which are entirely molten < 160 °C should not be considered for classification in this class since the melting process is endothermic and the substance-air surface is drastically reduced.
