Description of key information

Acute Algae (OECD 201): EC50 (growth rate) > 100 mg test item/L, NOEC (growth rate) = 12.5 mg test item/L

Acute Daphnia (OECD 202): EC50 > 100 mg test item/L, NOEC ≥ 100 mg test item/L

Additional information

Data on the acute aquatic toxicity of the test item are available for Daphnia and algae.

The study on the acute toxicity to Daphnia magna was conducted according to OECD guideline 202. An immobilization of the Daphnids was not observed at any tested concentrations. The EC50 is > 100 mg test item/L, the NOEC is ≥ 100 mg test item/L.

The toxicity to the green algae was tested in a study followed OECD guideline 201. The 72-hour ErC50 and ErC10 values for the inhibition of growth rate were determined to be > 100 mg test item/L and 17.1 mg test item/L, respectively. For yield, an EyC50 of 30.4 mg test item/L and an EyC10 of 5.14 mg test item/L were determined. The NOEC for growth rate is 12.5 mg test item/L.
