Administrative data
First-aid measures
After inhalation:
- Provide fresh air breathing.
- In the event of respiratory arrest: give artificial respiration immediately, if necessary give oxygen to breathe.
- Seek immediate medical attention.
After skin contact:
- Wash off with plenty of water.
- Take off contaminated clothing immediately.
- In the event of a skin reaction, seek medical advice.
After eye contact:
- Rinse with plenty of water or Diphoterine®, keeping the eyelids open (at least 10 minutes).
- Consult an ophthalmologist.
After swallowing:
- Seek immediate medical attention.
Instructions for the physician: Treat according to symptoms. Keep the victim under medical surveillance.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: CO2, powder, foam.
Special risks: Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions: carbon oxides (COx) and sulphur oxides (SOx).
Inadvisable media: water spray or jet stick.
Special protective equipment for fire fighting: Wear a complete protection equipment and a self-contained respiratory apparatus.
Other information: Precipitate evaporating vapors with water. Avoid the penetration of extinguishing water into surface water or the groundwater.
Accidental release measures
Person related precautionary measures:
- Remove all sources of ignition, ensure sufficient ventilation in closed rooms, fight against vapors, evacuate the risk area.
- Responders will be equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (Refer to section "Exposure controls, personal protection").
Environmental-protection measures:
- Do not discharge into the sewer or into the natural environment.
Procedures for cleaning / absorption:
- Recover by mechanical collection. Store residues in a labeled sealed container.
- Refer to section "Disposal considerations".
Handling and storage
HANDLING
Appropriate technical measures:
- Ventilated workshop with aeration system.
- Capture vapors at the source.
- Earth the containers.
Recommendations against fires and explosions:
- Handle in well ventilated areas.
- Alert the installation if the product is loaded in a solvent.
- Capture vapors at the source.
- Keep away from all sources of ignition.
Advice on occupational hygiene:
- Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke in the work areas.
- Wash hands and face after each use.
- Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering a catering area.
- Do not breathe vapors.
- Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure.
STORAGE
- Store in a ventilated and dry place; away from sources of heat and ignition and on retention.
- To avoid: humidity, source of ignition (flame, heat, spark ...).
Incompatible materials: Strong oxidants, strong acids, copper, chlorinated solvents.
Packing materials: Plastic, glasses.
Exposure scenario: Data not available.
