Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
study well documented, meets generally accepted scientific principles, acceptable for assessment
Principles of method if other than guideline:
- Principle of test: determination of melting point
- Short description of test conditions: determination in the context of de novo synthesis at laboratory scale
- Parameters analysed / observed: melting point
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
other: not specified
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
>= 238 - <= 241 °C
Atm. press.:
1 003 hPa
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
>= 238 °C
Sublimation:
no
Remarks on result:
other: melting with decomposition

A constant melting point was not available. The substance foamed at 155 - 167 °C and lost water. It became solid again at 180 °C. Sintering took place at 230 °C. At 238 - 241 °C, melting with decomposition was observed.

Conclusions:
The substance was reported to melt with decomposition at 238 - 241 °C.

Description of key information

melting with decomposition at 238 - 241 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment
