In accordance with REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 Annex VII, column 2 section 7.11 further testing for explosivity does not need to be conducted based on structural assessment of the substance and preliminary screening using differential scanning calorimetry. The substance constituents do not contain groups associated with explosive properties and additionally the calculated oxygen balance for each constituent is < - 200 (Actual = -285). Additional DSC testing consistent with the preliminary testing procedure of the UN Transport Manual for Tests and Criteria 6th edition (2015), indicates that the test item did not release more than 250 J/g at less than 500 °C indicating that it cannot be considered or classified as ‘explosive’ under Regulation (EC) 1272/2008. Furthermore, handling and use confirm that the substance does not have explosive properties. According to ECHA Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment (Chapter R.7a: Endpoint Specific Guidance, R.7.1.11, July 2017) further testing does not need to be conducted.
