MV (Mean diameter in microns of the “volume distribution”): 5.124 µm

MN (Mean diameter, in microns, of the “number distribution"): 1.058 µm

MA (Mean diameter, in microns, of the “area distribution”): 3.370 µm

CS - Calculated surface: 1.781 m²/cc

Conclusions:
The median particle size (D50) was determined to be 4.959 µm, whereas the D10 and D90 were determined to be 1.574 and 8.275 µm, respectively.

Description of key information

From the key study in which the particle size distribution of the test item (Klimisch 2, Luxfer MEL Technologies, 2017) was evaluated using a Microtrac-X100, the D10, D50 and D90 values were determined to be 1.574 µm, 4.959 µm and 8.275 µm, respectively.
