Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
The study does not need to be conducted based on the standard testing regime of REACH Regulation EC 1907/2006, Annex VII, Column 2, because, based on its chemical structure, the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials; The substance contains oxygen/halogens atoms that are NOT chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen.

Furthermore, the substance does not contain halogen atoms and the phosphate moieties of the substance are well characterized and are not known for their oxidising properties.

The substance is considered as non-oxidising

Description of key information

non-oxidising (data waiving)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

The study does not need to be conducted based on the standard testing regime of REACH Regulation EC 1907/2006, Annex VII, Column 2, because, based on its chemical structure, the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials; The substance contains oxygen/halogens atoms that are NOT chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen.

Furthermore, the substance does not contain halogen atoms and the phosphate moieties of the substance are well characterized and are not known for their oxidising properties.

The substance is considered as non-oxidising

Justification for classification or non-classification

The available data on oxidising properties of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification:

Based on the chemical structure the substance is not oxidising.
