Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
flammable solids
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids))
GLP compliance:
no
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

Safety Pre-Test: After contact of the test substance with the flame the test substance immediately became black leaving a black residue in the red heat.

Preliminary Screening-Test: After contact of the test substance with the flame the test substance immediately charred and became black. No signs of flammability were observed.

Since ignition did not occur within two minutes, the test substance was classified as not highly flammable (for EU regulations) and non-flammable solid (for UN regulations), resp. No determination of burning rate was necessary.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The test substance should be considered as not highly flammable (for EU regulations) and non-flammable solid (for UN regulations), respectively.

Description of key information
