Justification for type of information:
The long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates assessment for the registered substance is planned for 2023 according to the expected deadline from the lab:
- Analytical method Development, Aqueous: from February 2023 to March 2023.
- Analytical method Validation, Aqueous: from March 2023 to April 2023 - Final study report expected in July 2023.
- Daphnia reproduction test (EU C.20/OECD TG 211): from May 2023 to September 2023 - Final study report expected in February 2024.
The IUCLID dossier will be updated as soon as study report has been reviewed and agreed.

Description of key information

Fatty acids C16-18 (even numbered), oligoesters with sucrose is characterized by a very low water solubility (< 0.509 mg/L, OECD 105). Thus, a long-term study with aquatic invertebrates according to OECD 211 is considered to be more adequate for the assessment of aquatic toxicity instead of a short-term study. A testing proposal was previously submitted and then accepted by ECHA in the Decision Number TPE-D-2114576748-28-01/F. The long-term toxicity study to aquatic invertebrates is planned for 2023 with a final study report expected in February 2024. The IUCLID dossier will be updated as soon as study report has been reviewed and agreed.
