First-aid measures

- General advice:

Symptoms of poisoning may even occur after several hours; therefore medical observation for at least 48 hours after the accident.

- Following inhalation:

Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.

- Following skin contact:

Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.

- Following eye contact:

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

- Following ingestion:

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. Seek medical treatment.

- Most important symptoms and effects: No further relevant information available.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

No further relevant information available.

- Advice for fire fighter: Protective equipment:

Fire fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus

(SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in positive pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions:

Wear protective equipment.

- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Use personal protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.

- Environmental precautions:

Dilute with plenty of water. Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Dispose contaminated material as waste.

For small spills add absorbent (soil may be used in the absence of other suitable materials) scoop up material and place in a sealed, liquid-proof container for disposal. For large spills dike spilled material or otherwise contain material to ensure runoff does not reach a waterway.

Place spilled material in an appropriate container for disposal.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Provide sufficient air flow/ air extraction in the workplace. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: No special requirements.

Store away from foodstuffs.

· Further information about storage conditions: Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.

Store container in a well-ventilated place. Storage period 24 months.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters

Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: Not required.

Additional information: The lists that were valid during the creation were used as basis.

Exposure controls

Personal protective equipment/ General protective and hygienic measures:

The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.

Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.

Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing

Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.

Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.

Do not eat or drink while working.

Respiratory protection: Not necessary if room is well-ventilated.

Protection of hands:

Protective gloves

The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product.

Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product.

Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation

Material of gloves

The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Penetration time of glove material

The exact breaktrough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles

Body protection: Protective work clothing

2. Chemical stability

Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications.

3. Possibility of hazardous reactions

: No dangerous reactions known.

4. Conditions to avoid

: No further relevant information available.

5. Incompatible materials

: No further relevant information available.

6. Hazardous decomposition products: No dangerous decomposition products known.

Disposal considerations

Recommendation

Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system. Product residues and uncleaned empty containers should be packaged, sealed, labelled and disposed of or recycled according to relevant national and local regulations. Where large quantities are concerned, consult the supplier. When uncleaned empty containers are passed on, the recipient must be warned of any possible hazard that may be caused by residues. For disposal within the EC, the appropriate code according to the European Waste List (EWL) should be used.

It is among the tasks of the polluter to assign the waste to waste codes specific to industrial sectors and processes according to the European Waste List (EWL).
