- Batch Number: E4B80072
- Date received: 01 October 2004
- Storage Conditions: Room Temperature, in the dark

Testing was conducted between 25 October 2004 and 22 March 2005
Analytical method:
high-performance liquid chromatography
Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
> 3 160 000
Remarks on result:
other: % Test material: 95.1
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
0.027
Remarks on result:
other: % test Material: 4.94
Details on results:
Substances having a Log10 Pow greater than 3 are regarded as having the potenial to bioaccumulate in the environment. As the test material was a mixture with no definitive chemical structure available, testing was performed at neutral pH by HPLC method. As the test material had an average molecular weigh of approximately 800, it was unlikely that ionisation of any dissociating groups that may have been present would have affected the overall results.
Conclusions:
The partition coefficient of the test material Sylvalite® RE 80 HP has been determined. The results are:
% Test material = 4.94
Pow= 1.06 to 297
Log10 Pow= 2.71x10^-2 to 4.47

% Test material= 95.1
Pow= >3.16 x10^6
Log10 Pow= >6.50

Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test material Sylvalite® RE 80 HP has been determined using the HPLC Method, Method 117 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 13 April 2004.

Based on the results of this test, the values are:

% Test material = 4.94

Pow= 1.06 to 297

Log10 Pow = 2.71x10^-2 to 4.47

% Test material = 95.1

Pow= >3.16 x10^6

Log10 Pow = >6.50
