Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Log Koc = 2.1932 (arithm. mean of MCI method and Log Kow based models, KOCWIN v2.00)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
156.05

Additional information

The substance has a low log Kow value (<3) and thus has low potential for adsorption. Furthermore, the substance is readily biodegradable (68% biodegradation within 28 d). Therefore, in accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the adsorption/desorption screening test does not need to be conducted.

For the needs of the chemical sagety assessment, the adsorption/desorption indicator log Koc was calculated using two QSAR models provided in KOCWIN v2.00 (Molecular Connectivity Index (MCI) model and log Kow based model). The QSAR calculations were within the applicability domain of the models. The log Koc based on MCI method was 2.182 while the log Koc based on the log Kow method was 2.2042. Based on the two methods, a mean log Koc of 2.1932 was calculated, which was used for the chemical safety assessment.
