Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item was determined in accordance with method and procedures outlined in OECD guideline 105.

A preliminary test for solubility was carried out for the decision whether the column elution method or the flask method has to be used for the performance of the main test. The preliminary test at room temperature showed that the water solubility of the test item was between 1.1 g/l and 7.8 g/l; therefore, the flask method was used for the main test.

The concentration in the clear aqueous phase was determined by HPLC-UV validate method. The pH of each sample was recorded.

The water solubility of the test item was determined to be 3.52 g/l (RSD: 10.24 %) at 20 °C and pH between 7.1 - 7.8.

Conclusion

3.52 g/l at 20 °C and ca. pH 7.5.
