The flash point was observed between 205.0°C and 210.0°C (corrected values).

The auto-ignition temperature was situated between 231 °C and 239 °C (corrected values). This range is given for information, the final result is given by the main test in following section.

Conclusion

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was 235 °C ± 3 °C (corrected temperature).

Conclusions:
An auto-ignition temperature of 232 - 238 °C at approximatley 980 hPa was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol, and in compliance with GLP.

Description of key information

Trichloro(octadecyl)silane: 235 °C at 1013 hPa (measured).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

An auto-ignition temperature value of 235 °C at 1013 hPa was determined according to EU Method A.15.
