substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

STUDY RESULTS

The test substance did not ignite or smoulder in the period of 2 minutes. After the flame was put off, only that part of the sample, which was in contact with the flame was burnt on the surface.

The test substance did not ignite and the flame did not propagate over 200 mm of the train within a specified time (less than 4 minutes). Therefore, the substance should not be considered as highly flammable and no further testing is required.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Direct Yellow 28 should not be considered as highly flammable substance.
Executive summary:

Determination of flammability of solid test substance, Direct Yellow 28, was performed. Test was performed according to the Method A.10 Flammability (Solids), Council Regulation (EC) No.440/2008, Published in O.J. L 142, 2008.

The test substance does not ignite and not propagate combustion.

Direct Yellow 28 should not be considered as highly flammable substance.
