Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Based on the use pattern for this substance, direct and indirect exposure of soil is unlikely. Fugacity level III predictions indicate that concentrations in soil would be negligible and around 0.005% of the concentration found in the water phase. The substance is also readily biodegradable. In reality, less than this would partition as the substance is readily biodegradable. In addition the equilibrium partitioning method is sufficient to estimate the toxicity to soil micro-organisms based using the existing aquatic toxicity hazard data as a starting point. On the basis that exposure is negligible, toxicity can be estimated from existing aquatic toxicity data on the basis that if there is no concern for this phase, then there should be no concern for the soil phase. There is also good mammalian toxicity information available. Overall therefore no testing for terrestrial toxicity is required.
