Description of key information

In an OECD 110 Granulometry (Screening Test) the proportion of Dihydrogen hexahydroxyplatinate <100 μm was 62.1 %.

Additional information

Walker & White (2011) is a GLP compliant, guideline study considered suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint. The proportion of Dihydrogen hexahydroxyplatinate < 100 μm was 62.1 %.

The dustiness of Dihydrogen hexahydroxyplatinate was tested in a modified Heubach procedure according to the guideline DIN 55992-1:2006. The study is non-GLP, but follows a standard guideline and is considered to be reliable. The total dustiness of Dihydrogen hexahydroxyplatinate was determined to be 261.47 mg/g. The inhalable fraction was 188.35 mg/g, the thoracic fraction was 124.2 mg/g and the respirable fraction was 48.26 mg/ g. The Mass Median Aerodynamic Diameter (MMAD) was 12.34 μm with Geometric Standard Deviation of 2.94 μm.
