Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The LD50 oral of the test substance Tri-C18-22 (even numbered)-alkyl 2-hydroxypropane-1,2,3-tricarboxylate was > 2000 mg/kg. This result was supported with data available from two different studies demonstrating a lack of toxic effects up to doses far above the limit dose as recommended by current regulatory guidelines. No mortalities or any toxic effects in rats after administration of doses up to 50000 mg/kg were observed.

The acute dermal toxicity of Tri-C18-22 (even numbered)-alkyl 2-hydroxypropane-1,2,3-tricarboxylate not specifically determined. However, data are available for a structrurally related substance Tri (hexyl, octyl, decyl) citrate with the only difference in the shorter carbon chain length of the ester groups. The LD50 dermal of the structurally related substance was > 2000 mg/kg.
