Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
FAT 40034/F should be considered as not highly flammable.
Executive summary:

The flammability of FAT 40034/F was evaluated in a study conducted according to EU Method A.10. In pre-safety study, A small amount of the test item was heated on a magnesia groove with a gas burner in order to derive safety precautions. The pile was arranged at right angle to the draught in the fume cupboard. The flame of the gas burner was used to ignite the pile at one end. In a screening test, a stop watch was held ready. Since ignition did not occur within two minutes, the test item was classified as not highly flammable and no determination of burning rate was necessary. Determination of burning rate was not carried out as the test item showed no ignition. In a safety pre-test, a small amount of the test item was heated on a magnesia groove with a gas burner. Glowing was observed. The test item showed no signs of ignition. While in preliminary screening test, the test item was heated with the flame of a teclu burner. Glowing was observed during heating. No ignition occurred within two minutes. The substance did not ignite or propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period. Hence, the test item FAT 40034/F should be considered as not highly flammable.

non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the Reactive Red 24:1 is considered to be not highly flammable, hence it does not warrant classification according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
